It all starts in Stillwater, OK.  Listening to  local artist (at the time) Garth Brooks at the bars and a few private parties will get someone interested in music!  After graduating from Oklahoma State, Kyle moved out to the Texas Panhandle and worked in the cattle business for several years.  It was not until then did he buy his first guitar and learn a few chords.  When he met his current songwriting partner Dave Carr who taught him how not only how to play that guitar and write a song, but to play to a crowd,  things began to take off.  After a few years away from Oklahoma, he heard Stillwater calling his name again.  What he saw and heard in the late 90’s amazed and inspired him as he would listen to Mike McClure, Cody Canada, Jason Boland, and Stoney LaRue do their acoustic shows at the infamous Wormy Dog Saloon.  Kyle soon began to open up "Texas Tuesday" at The Dog for Jason Boland, and later moved on to do his own shows in Stillwater.  He has now played hundreds of shows across Oklahoma, Missouri, Illinois, and Texas.

Inspired by "The Red Dirt" music scene of Oklahoma that includes the likes of The Great Divide, The Red Dirt Rangers, Jason Boland and The Stragglers, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Bob Childers, No Justice, and Stoney LaRue, Kyle started playing music on "The Strip" in Stillwater, OK like all the previously mentioned artists.  In July of 2001 Kyle released his first CD “Water for My Horses”.  Good friends Jason Boland and The Stragglers played on and produced the CD for Kyle.  The project includes 8 songs written or co-written by Kyle along with two additional never recorded songs.  In January of 2004 Kyle’s second CD project titled “Kyle Everett and Friends” was released.  This is an acoustical-based CD that includes twenty tracks of both original music and some of his favorite songs covered in his live shows.  Playing on the project with Kyle are Roger Ray (Jason Boland and The Stragglers), Travis Linville (The Burtschi Brothers), John Cooper (The Red Dirt Rangers) and Cari Clewell.  Kyle is currently doing live acoustic shows to promote his independent recording projects while actively pursuing a major label-recording contract.  His live shows include a large variety of crowd favorites that include covers and original songs.
